La controvertida película dirigida por Sofia Coppola y protagonizada por Kirsten Dunst sobre la última reina de Francia tiene una banda sonora formada por dos CD’s en los que se incluyen canciones ya conocidas de New Order, The Strokes, The Cure, Gang Of Four y Siouxsie and The Banshees, entre otros.

Entre los más interesante de este doble álbum están las remezclas de "I Want Candy" y "Fools Rush In", de Bow Wow Wow, realizadas por Kevin Shields, de My Bloody Valentine.
